Chile’s representation at the Paralympics in Tokyo comes courtesy of Mariana Zuniga.

The 19-year-old has proven a strong shooter since she debuted at the ‘s-Hertogenbosch 2019 Para World Championships, where she finished ninth. She secured her place at the Paralympics by winning the continental qualification tournament for the Americas in Monterrey last March.

At that event, she set two world records for the compound women’s open division, 668 points for the 72-arrow qualifying round and 144-point 15-arrow match.
