From an invitation from her brother to try archery to winning an invitation to compete at the Olympics – that’s Adriana’s story in archery. Only six years after picking up a bow, she became the first archer from Ecuador to ever qualify for the Games this past March in Monterrey. She then hit the minimum score required to take part after training extensively across the Americas. Little known at international events, she has never finished above 17th at a major tournament. But her rise over the past four months has been meteoric. Just how high has she climbed?
