Americans Casey Kaufhold and Brady Ellison won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics in the mixed team event.
The pair faced the team from India for the third podium position.
It was not an easy competition for Kaufhold, who was eliminated in the second round in the individual competitions.
“Casey was upset yesterday after the individuals and she’s come out here and shown she’s a champion as if she’s completely changed – she shot great today” commented teammate Ellison.
The American duo won the match in the fourth set 6-2.
With this medal, Kaufhold became the first American woman to earn a podium finish at the Olympic Games since 1988.
