Canada hosted the 2024 World Archery Field Championships in Lac La Biche from 16-22 September.
Athletes from the Americas who participated in this tournament came from Argentina, Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Americans Paige Pearce, Brady Ellison, Fawn Girard and Dewey Hathaway were crowned champions in their respective categories.
Qualifier
Paige Pearce and Brady Ellison qualified first in the compound women’s and recurve men’s categories respectively.
Dewey Hathaway also placed first in the compound men’s U21 category.

Teams
The United States took one gold, four silvers and one bronze in the team and mixed team competition. The other country from the Americas to medal was Canada with two bronzes.
The US athletes who took gold were Dewey Hathaway and Rendyn Brooks in the compound under 21 mixed team category.

Individual competition
Paige Pearce won her third consecutive world field title. She defeated Amanda Mlinaric of Croatia by four points 66-62.
Brady Ellison also won his third title, the previous two being in 2016 and 2014. He defeated Ryan Tyack with 8 points difference 60-52.
Mathew Noffel of the United States took bronze. He defeated Patrick Huston of Great Britain on a tie-break arrow by one point.
The gold medal match in women’s low archery was between Fawn Girard and Claudia Noemi Carcacha of Argentina.
Girard took the victory and her first world title by defeating Carcacha 46-42.
In compound under-21 men’s Dewey Hathaway took the gold. He defeated Fabrizio Aloisi of Italy 69-66.
Also in the U21 categories, Amelia Gagne took silver in the recurve women’s and USA’s Hailey Franzone in recurve women’s and Rendyn Brooks in compound women’s took bronze.
