Brady Ellison and James Lutz, from the United States; Alejandra Valencia, from Mexico; and Sara López, from Colombia, were recognized as the best archers of 2024 by World Archery Americas.

It was no surprise that Ellison was the clear winner in the recurve men category after earning the silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games, the gold medal at the World Field Championships, and the Indoor World Series title in 2024.

In the recurve women category, Valencia claimed the title. Among her standout achievements last year were third place at the World Cup Final in Tlaxcala, bronze medals at the World Cup stages in Yecheon and Antalya, and the team bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.

In the compound categories, the World Cup champions were also honored by World Archery Americas.
James Lutz, in addition to his World Cup title, won the Indoor World Series early in 2024 and secured a silver medal at the second stage of the World Cup in Yecheon. Sara López, on the other hand, won an individual gold at that same stage in Yecheon and claimed the World Cup Final title in the compound women category.

Among the winners of the Americas Archer of the Year Award were also the Paralympic champions: Matt Stutzman in the compound men open category and Jason Tabansky in the W1 men category, both from the United States.

In the under-21 category, the awards went to Sawyer Sullivan, from the United States, who earned three gold medals at the second stage of the World Cup in Yecheon; and to the Pan American champions Casey Kaufhold, also from the United States, and Matías Grande, from Mexico.

Finally, Fawn Girard was the undisputed winner in the barebow category, thanks to her victory at the World Field Championships in Lac La Biche, Canada.
