American Casey Kaufhold was crowned the recurve woman champion at the World Field Archery Championships in Yankton.
This was Kaufhold’s first world competition in this discipline.
Her opponent was Audrey Machinet of France, whom she defeated by a margin of 10 points.
In addition to this individual gold medal, Kaufhold, along with Erin Hollom in barebow and Paige Pearce in compound, took first place in the women’s team event.
Kaufhold’s third medal came in the mixed team competition alongside Brady Ellison.
The pair secured the bronze medal on the final target with an 11-point lead, after the German team missed the scoring zone with two arrows.

One name that stood out in the under 21 categories was Hailey Franzone.
Franzone claimed the recurve women’s title by defeating Italy’s Emma di Vita by just two points.
In total, USA won six gold medals, eight silver medals, and one bronze medal.
Canada won a bronze medal courtesy of Christopher Edward Kent-Rodgman in the barebow category.
