USA’s Fawn Girard won the bronze medal at the Chengdu World Games in the barebow category of the field competition.

In the semifinals, she faced second-qualified Alicia Baumert from France.

This was the first match in the barebow finals, and the weather conditions presented an extra challenge for these archers.

Baumart won the match 43-34 and eventually went on to win the gold medal.

In the bronze medal match, Girard faced Nicky Fairweather of Australia.

The American took the lead from the first target.

On the fourth and final target, she secured victory with her first arrow. The final score was 50-42.

This is the first medal at the World Games for the current field champion.
