The Colombian women’s and compound mixed teams set new World Archery Americas records during the qualification round of the Pan American Championships in Tlaxcala.

Alejandra Usquiano, Sara López, and Mariana Rodríguez scored 2,124 points in the 50-meter round, surpassing the previous record by 8 points that was set by Mexicans Andrea Becerra, Dafne Quintero, and Esmeralda Sánchez in Shanghai 2024.

Usquiano, who was the highest-ranked of the three Colombians, teamed up with Pablo Gómez to form the mixed team.

Together, they scored 1,425 points, surpassing by one point the previous record, which was also held by Colombia—Sara López and Daniel Muñoz—at Antalya 2023.

During the match rounds, the Mexican mixed compound team of Andrea Maya Becerra and Sebastián García broke the Americas record by one X with 160 points and 9 Xs.

In addition to these three continental records, other six new Pan American Championship records were set.
