Jason Tabansky of the United States won the silver medal in the W1 men’s category at the first stage of the World Archery Para Series in Bangkok, Thailand.
This was the inaugural event of the new international para archery circuit, which aims to expose para athletes to a greater number of competitions to promote the development of the sport.

Tabansky qualified in third place and faced the fifth-place qualifier in the gold medal match, Ham Taejin of Korea.
It was a closely contested match that came down to the final set, which Ham won 6-4.
Eugenio Santana Franco of Brazil finished in sixth place in the final W1 men’s rankings.
Brazilians Jane Karla Gogel and Reinaldo Vagner Charao Ferreira finished in 12th and 18th place in the women’s and men’s para compound categories, respectively.
In the para recurve women’s category, Karen Sternfeld of the United States finished in 12th place.
